There are no tickets for sale for the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. People should find their positions to watch the parade along the street or in the Central Park section. The parade route starts at 77th Street and Central Park West. Head east on Central Park South and continue to 7th Avenue where the parade maneuvers south at the corner of 42nd Street and Central Park South. The parade eventually ends at 7th Street and 34th Avenue, but not before three hours filled with marching bands, massed floats and premiere entertainment.

If you plan to attend the parade, it is recommended that you arrive as early as possible to secure a spot to watch the procession. The parade starts right in the middle of Manhattan. The band learned of the invitation to the New York City parade in a surprise announcement in front of marching band members and Greendale Middle School students on April 28 in the Greendale High School auditorium. The Greendales appeared in the 2016 Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. She also appeared in the January 2020 Rose Parade in Pasadena, California.
“I think 20 years ago we were a group of 80 students, and we wouldn’t have been able to do things like the Rose Parade and the Macy’s Parade without the students of the last 20 years.” and makes efforts in the preparation of the program. So it’s not just an accomplishment for the current students in the band,” Greendale High School marching band director Tom Riffenberg said in a phone interview. “It’s an accomplishment that includes many alumni of the Greendale band.”
